Who is Jay Cartere?

It's a long story, but I'm going to make it short because I respek your time...

I'm a (super) producer, rapper, singer and creative entrepreneur from London.

My musical journey started in 2007 when I decide to spit some lyrics to a grime beat... through a laptop.

That's right, no mic or anything - I was spitting DIRECTLY into the laptop cuz.

It's safe to say things have changed since then...

But, that's not all:

The journey has never been easy...I had to put my entrepreneurial mind to work and figure this stuff out.

I taught myself how to record and engineer my music.

I also had to learn how to film and edit music videos.

Poverty gave me the pressure I needed to develop these skills...

Here's the thing:

I'm not going to bore you with every musical release I EVER had...because my music was trash until my 5th mixtape.

In about 2014, I released my 5th mixtape called:

Caesar Augustus

I was proud of the project and some people enjoyed it too.

Then, I started getting into music production because:

I couldn't find the beats I wanted...

I couldn't BUY the beats I wanted...(remember the poverty)

And, the producers I knew were maddd unreliable.

Next, I released a self-produced single that isn't THE BEST, so we might as well skip over it my g.

Let's just say...every rapper was making pop music to try and get signed...and I tried too.

Then I went to university to study music production and I ended up dipping my toes into dance music...

I released my first EP:

The Love Story

This is something worth talking about...

This project tells a story etc. and showcases my songwriting abilities...

I LOVE writing pop songs.

And, I didn't stop there:

I wanted to get back to my ROOTS...

So, I created an 8 track EP with some trap/R&B type vibes called:

Anything

It's a great project, you should give it a listen...

But, we don't have all day:

After the creatively named "Anything" EP, I released a few covers, freestyles and songs.

Unfortunately that didn't matter, because I had to take a break from music in 2016.

The tunes weren't paying the bills and tings were getting tight...

Luckily, I was building valuable skills throughout this whole journey...

(Remember I learned recording, engineering AND video production? It didn't stop there.)

I was using YouTube, reading bare marketing books and experimenting like my life depended on it...

Because it did.

A little success came my way on YouTube while I was releasing gameplay videos and that...so I decided to pursue that fully AND

teach others my system...

Eventually (after MANY plates of rice and gravy) I stumbled upon a business idea related to a game I was playing at the time

called: ARK Survival Evolved.

I also helped a few companies make some sweet cash using my YouTube channel, so I knew I could do the same for MYSELF.

And, I did.

If you didn't know:

I also wrote 2 books and created 2 PREMIUM video courses....

Now, I have the financial freedom to make music and have fun...and that's what I'm going to do.

But, I'm also going to sell beats and make big bank as a music producer...

As an artist FIRST, I know what other artists NEED from their beats.

All my consistent learning and testing has led me right here.

I'm always looking ahead and my business is on point fam.

It was an absolute STRUGGLE for me to get here...and most people around me told me it was impossible...

So I feel an obligation (and an intense desire) to share the gems, so the next HUNGRY, GO-GETTING ASS NIGGA like me can have a wayyyy easier journey.

That's my PURPOSE...

And, in THIS ERA, of smartphones and streaming etc....

There's NO EXCUSE to NOT chasing your dreams and building a business.

It's easier than it ever was.
